How You Can Help
Isn't it wonderful -- souls are saved by our Working Together.
Brethren who want to be more involved in the work in the Northwest Pacific will often ask, "How can we help?" We are deeply thankful for the hearts of those who desire to help.
v The first and most important way you can help is by praying for the work. God has blessed our work following prayer so many times, we consider it the chief and #1 aid which can be given. Pray fervently for success in reaching lost souls. Pray for those struggling souls you read about in our newsletters. And pray for us, that we may be wise and have strength in reaching out to lost souls.
v The second way you can help is by providing financial support. We don’t like to admit it, but without the funds, we simply cannot do the work.
In the work in the Northwest Pacific, the people’s hearts are more open to studying God’s word than in the states. They are not necessarily easier to convert (they must be persuaded by the word), but they are more open to sitting down and studying the Bible. We continually hear how people are dissatisfied with this or that religion because it seems to contradict itself. We are continually asked Bible questions from those who are seeking the truth. The more funding we have, the more we are able to reach and teach these people.
v The third way you can help is to come out on a short-term campaign with us! If you are interested, see our page Thinking of Coming to the Islands?.
Two Truths We Know
#1. The more a Christian teaches the Bible, the more souls can be won to the Lord. We work to keep as many Bible studies going as possible.
#2. The more money we have in the islands, the more souls can be brought to the Lord. Funds go into printing tracts, buying gasoline, the soon-to-be (Lord willing) television program, travel expenses from island to island, and many smaller items.
Several individuals support us with small amounts every month. Those small amounts add up quickly to large amounts. Four families send $25 each per month. One individual sends $85. Others do varying amounts. Dear brother or sister, would you consider supporting us $100 per month? Or $50? Or $25? We make you this promise: we will use those funds for the furtherance of the gospel. It will go toward saving lost souls in the islands.
If You Can’t Go, Send
All Christians are familiar with the glorious Great Commission, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel…” Mt 28:19. For a variety of reasons, not all are able to go to other countries. Fortunately, there are two ways to fulfill the great commission. We can go, or we can make it possible for others to go. Someone has appropriately said, “If you can’t go, send.“
